Managing stress is actually very simple to do. The only truly challenging aspect is putting it into practice. Part of what causes and perpetuates stress is inaction. You can manage it if you really want to.
The first step is: Awareness. Being aware is knowing what is causing stress and where it is coming from. Once you have awareness, you can take the steps necessary to handle the stress. And those steps are what help you to keep a sense of balance.
There are two kinds of techniques to use: 1. General, all-purpose methods, and 2. Specific, focused types of methods. The general all-purpose methods are routinely applied to all stressful situations. The specific, focused methods are applied to particular situations.
To learn more about these methods and how to apply them, you may attend my stress management workshop at the Center for Relaxation and Healing in Plainsboro, NJ on June 24, 2012. They can be contacted at: 609-750-7432.
