The Way of the Ego

Posted on: September 30, 2013

Everyone has an ego. The ego is one’s sense of personal esteem. Your ego is a central part of your personality. It is what guides you and makes your place in the world.

Your ego is also the guardian of your life and your experiences. It is a force that holds you together. The ego performs its job quite wonderfully when it is balanced.

We run into problems when the ego is not balanced and it goes too far in one direction or the other. An under-developed ego results in low self-esteem. An over-developed ego results in arrogance.

By cultivating a composed ego, you will create well-being for yourself and for others as well.
