Happiness in the Modern World

In contemporary society, we are inclined to interpret our lives and sense of well-being in terms of the modern capitalist system. The way we make choices in our purchasing habits has been facilitated by marketing and advertising. And this has become the focus of economic growth.
In addition, the exchange of money, goods, services, and ideas has a major influence on one’s individual development. The consumption of products and services has replaced real personal growth.
Today, a person’s sense of identity is connected with his or her buying decisions. And many people even fear the risk of making the wrong choice. Moreover, people who have a low income are faced with limited choices and more psychological struggles as a result.
Unfortunately, in order to keep up with societal expectations of materialism, many people are pushed into great loan and credit card debt. And that is not the way to happiness.
Personal development and the creation of balance in your life is the way.
